The Hawker family, all four of us, Bill, Julia Lisa and Louise are returning to Japan, to mark the second anniversary of Lindsay's death. As a family, we know this is important because we want the Japanese people to know that Tatsuya Ichihashi has not been brought to justice for the terrible murder of our daughter and sister. We will remind them of the crime, and again make a public appeal for their help in bringing this man to justice and in trying to help the Japanese police capture this man.

Tatsuya Ichihashi has now been arrested after two and a half years on the run.
This is the end of the hunt for the family but the start of a new chapter in their battle to get justice for Lindsay.
The Hawker family - Bill, Julia, Lisa and Louise, would like to thank everyone who has supported them during this time and their team for all their hard work - especially Det Chief Insp Ally Wright from Warwickshire Police whose support has been invaluable, Amanda Stocks at Exclusive Press & Publicity for all her work handling the media and co-ordinating the family’s campaign to find Ichihashi both in Japan and the UK, Caroline Pover for her hard work and support in Tokyo, Laura Thomson for her work in helping set up the family’s fighting fund and Paul Dingwell for rallying Lindsay’s friends in Japan to hand out leaflets on many occasions.
We also want to thank the media in Japan and across the world for their support and the many thousands of you who visited this website and left sightings or words of comfort - it is very much appreciated.
